Welcome to Open Studio – one Thursday a month, 13:00–16:00.
To match the splendour of spring, this time we are working with speed, movement, and colour! Gelli plate is a printmaking technique based on inking a soft plate, making impressions, placing paper on top, and seeing what emerges. It is a playful, spontaneous, and fast method that encourages letting go of control.
It is suitable both for those who have not picked up a pencil since primary school, and for practising artists. The techniques vary, but what they all have in common is a playful collective exploration aimed at sparking inspiration rather than producing a masterpiece.
