Peter Mills

PETER is a practice concerned with listening to the life of the body that exists beyond command or order. By remaining alongside Axel Ebbe’s figures, the work stages a body in perceptual resonance, forming a restless solidarity between the stone-bound, the creaturely, and the public.

Peter Mills (b. 1987, UK) is a choreographer and researcher whose work, PETER, explores the ethics of presence through a radical commitment to “staying alongside” situations without resolving them. By staging a fragile, non-directive way of being, the practice seeks to let life speak through a shared field of perceptual resonance. Peter is active in Stockholm and the UK and has created numerous art projects and performances in both countries. He is affiliated with MARC, the artist residency in Knislinge.

In collaboration with Milvus Artistic Research Center, where we deepen our engagement with contemporary art by highlighting the sculptural qualities of dance and choreography.
