In the exhibition "Stadslifv", we focus on the development of modern Trelleborg from 1850 to 1950. It covers a hundred years when the city transformed from a rural community into a thriving industrial town.
We explore the harbor, factories, and the emergence of popular movements during this period. We also take a closer look at historical events that left their mark on the city, such as the permit system for migrant workers and the Baltic Sea handover of territories after World War II.
