We come to you! Perhaps you have exciting ancient sites nearby that you want to learn more about? This program serves as a great introduction to your prehistoric studies. Together we investigate the school’s local cultural environment to find traces from the past. We plan the arrangement together.

Forest trolls, will-o’-the-wisps, troll children and dragons - in this program, we delve into the world of Axel Ebbe, filled with fairy tales, sculptures and graphics!

Trelleborg is a medieval city, but the traces of its past are few and difficult to discover. On this guided walking tour through the older parts of Trelleborg, we aim to make the invisible visible by seeking out locations that can tell us something about its history.

A milk hare has been stealing milk from the cows and a woman suspects her neighbor of witchcraft. The townsmen have gathered in the square to ensure that justice is served. Should the suspect be acquitted or sentenced to a suitable punishment?

Join us at Norra KyrkÖgarden (Northern Cemetery). A cemetery is like a miniature society where each grave has frozen time at a specific moment. It is possible to deduce professional identity, gender differences, lifespan, economic status, and make comparisons over time.

There is a little sugar sprite living at Trelleborgen who has been residing on the grounds since ancient times. The spirit loves sugar because there used to be a sugar mill at the site before the fortress was discovered. Join us on a magical tour where creatures and folklore take center stage.

Are you curious about the Viking Age and what the Vikings do at Trelleborgen? We welcome the younger children to a meeting with the Viking at Trelleborgen, where we get to know each other and the area, talk about the Viking chores on the farm and Viking Age artifacts.

In the early 1900s, Trelleborg was one of Sweden’s leading industrial cities. It had 28 industries and 1000 workers, despite having only around 10.000 inhabitants. But how did Trelleborg become such a successful industrial city and what happened afterwards?

Join us on an exciting journey through the folklore of Trelleborg. Together, we will explore the oldest parts of Trelleborg and listen to the guide as they share stories about old houses, human destinies, and legends from the past. The tour starts and ends at Trelleborgen.

With the help of scientific reconstructions and artistic representations, we strive to get closer to those who lived here long before us. Great emphasis is placed on giving students the opportunity to reflect on how archaeological sources are used and interpreted.

A program that starts in the classroom with a short video bringing the Viking Age to life, and the class is given a task that can be done together or individually. The task is to write an exciting story in the style of the Vikings’ sagas.

We are more than happy to customize our educational programs to meet the needs of the special education school. This includes using simple Swedish, incorporating tactile elements, adjusting the duration of the program and providing opportunities for preparation.

In the exhibition "Stadslifv", we focus on the development of modern Trelleborg from 1850 to 1950. It covers a hundred years when the city transformed from a rural community into a thriving industrial town.

Sweden's History is a free digital educational resource for schools. Trelleborgs Museums is one of approximately 30 museums that have contributed content to these lessons. Join us on a journey back in time when the site looked completely different, but the Viking Age fortress stood in the exact same location.

Traditional folk crafts from around 1750-1850 are showcased from the collections. It includes carving, turning, painting, embroidery and weaving. We primarily focus on wool embroidery and woodcarving.

Welcome to Trelleborgen to get to know the Viking Age. How did the surroundings look a thousand years ago? Why was there a fortress? What gods did the Viking believe in and how did their everyday life look like? We also venture out to the Viking farmstead and try out a Viking-age craft.

Sweden stayed out of World War II, or did we really? And how were the people of Trelleborg affected by the war?

A program specially designed for special schools, grades 1-9. Inspired by the magical world of the Viking Age and the craftsmanship of that time, students create their own ceramic creations. Clay is a tactile material that appeals to multiple senses and is well-suited for creative work for all ages, abilities, and individuals.

Industrialization brought significant changes, challenges and opportunities. With the help of the exhibition Stadslifv, we approach both the people in power and those fighting for their right to be heard in a local and concrete manner.

In Trelleborg Museum's permanent exhibitions "Stadslifv" and "Öga mot Öga," there are excellent opportunities for students to delve into source-critical questions and reflect on how history is created and used.
