Join us on a journey back in time, thousands of years ago, to the fascinating prehistoric era of Söderslätt. The first stop is the Iron Age, where we encounter the Vannhög Viking, a man who has puzzled archaeologists with his filed grooves in his upper jaw teeth.
Then the journey continues to the magnificent treasures of Möllehögen and other findings from the Bronze Age.
The final destination is Skateholm and the settlement that existed there about 7000 years ago. Here, we come face to face with the “Sitting Woman”. She was buried in a sitting position on a red deer antler, adorned with an impressive array of jewelry made from bone and slate.
The exhibition is part of our audio guide. Scan a QR code with your own mobile phone and embark on a journey through various audio tracks.
