From a gray industrial wall to the world’s greatest collective project

Art project
80 meter lång vit industrivägg.

A huge blank wall - something was needed to make the place better, but what? A billboard or a painting? That's how the idea for Trelleborg's largest collaborative project was born, an 80-meter long and 6-meter high industrial wall.

After a part of the former DUX furniture factory was demolished to make space for motorhome and caravan parking, the large white wall stood empty. This led the officials from the Technical Services Department and the Culture and Recreation Department to initiate an artwork on the wall.

For several years, the museum and the artists from Streetcorner have been involved in exciting and creative projects together. Therefore, Streetcorner was the obvious partner to approach.

The artists work with co-creation methods and are world-renowned in their genre. They accepted the invitation, and the process began. With shared aspirations, the goal was set sky-high: to create the world's greatest collective project.
