Welcome to Trelleborgen to explore the Viking Age in the museum exhibition "Borgen vid havet". Follow the mythical seeress völvan in a story about the history and archaeology of the site. How did it look here during the Viking Age? Why was there a fortress? What were the connections with the outside world like?

Join us on a journey through time, thousands of years back, to the fascinating prehistoric era of Söderslätt.

In the exhibition "Stadslifv", we focus on the development of modern Trelleborg from 1850 to 1950. It covers a hundred years during which the city transformed from a rural community to a growing industrial city.

Are you interested in the Viking Age, mythology, the everyday life of the Vikings, or why there is a fortress in the middle of central Trelleborg? Then you've come to the right place! Join us on a journey back in time when the site looked completely different, but the Viking Age fortress stood in the exact same location.

Kulturmagasinet is a display warehouse where booked groups can reserve their own guided tour. It is not possible to visit Kulturmagasinet independently. However, it is possible to book a guided tour for groups or purchase individual tickets for one of our open tours for the general public.

Welcome to Trelleborgen to learn about the Viking Age. What did it look like here during the Viking Age? Why was there a fortress? What gods did the Vikings believe in, and what did they do in their daily lives? We will also visit the reconstructed Viking village.

Join us on a guided tour of the oldest parts of Trelleborg and listen to stories about old houses, human fates, and legends from the past. The guide will make stops at the monastery ruins, old squares, the church, and other interesting places. The tour starts and ends at Trelleborgen.
