In the exhibition ÖGA v ÖGA you can get really close to those who lived in Skateholm 7000 years ago. The museum always has several fun activities for the whole family.

Öga mot öga

Join us on a journey back in time, thousands of years ago, to the fascinating prehistoric era of Söderslätt. The first stop is the Iron Age, where we encounter the Vannhög Viking, a man who has puzzled archaeologists with his filed grooves in his upper jaw teeth.

Stadslifv

The Stadslifv exhibition tells the history of Trelleborg, from the 6th century to the present day. It covers the city’s evolution from a small settlement to regaining its city rights and the transition of rural workers into industrial workers.

The trail for the curious

The Trail for the Curious is an imaginative audio experience for both young and old in the Öga mot Öga exhibition. The Little Creature, neither human nor animal, becomes your companion throughout the exhibition.

Children's trail

Ella - 100 years ago

In the exhibition “Stadslifv”, you can follow the fictional girl Ella. Listen as Ella tells about her everyday life in early 20th-century Trelleborg. You’ll hear about what it’s like to go to school, her brothers who already work in the factory and her dreams for the future.

The excavation in Dalköpinge teaches us more about the prehistory of Trelleborg.

A major excavation is currently taking place in Dalköpinge. People have inhabited this location since the Neolithic era. Archaeologists have already made many exciting discoveries, some of which will be displayed in an exhibit at the Trelleborg Museum's foyer during the excavation.

Öga mot Öga – About a hunter-gatherer society 7,000 years ago.

With the help of scientific reconstructions and artistic representations, we strive to get closer to those who lived here long before us. Great emphasis is placed on giving students the opportunity to reflect on how archaeological sources are used and interpreted.

We come to you! Perhaps you have exciting ancient sites nearby that you want to learn more about? This program serves as a great introduction to your prehistoric studies. Together we investigate the school’s local cultural environment to find traces from the past. We plan the arrangement together.

Guided tour of the exhibition Stadslifv

In the exhibition "Stadslifv", we focus on the development of modern Trelleborg from 1850 to 1950. It covers a hundred years during which the city transformed from a rural community to a growing industrial city.

Join us on a journey through time, thousands of years back, to the fascinating prehistoric era of Söderslätt.

Shop and Café

Here you will find unique products for both children and adults. You’ll discover literature on niche subjects, local handicraft products, postcards, and toys. The products are inspired by our exhibitions and carry a sense of history. In the café, you can enjoy a Swedish fika with brewed coffee and pastries from Café Jollen. Feel free to stop by for a cup of coffee and a cinnamon bun!
