The Programme - Battle of Trelleborgen 2026

From 3–5 July, we gather once again for cherished reunions and new encounters. Come and experience the Viking Age, breathe in the scent of the campfires, dance to the music, and cheer on your favourite Vikings as they battle for the fortress. At the same time, enjoy a vibrant Viking market featuring jewellery and traditional crafts from near and far.

Peter Mills Visiting EBBE

We are celebrating Axel Ebbe’s birthday on March 27, and we are delighted that Peter Mills is returning. Together with our curator Annika Börjesson, they will present a performative guided tour—an introduction to Axel Ebbe’s life through his own letters, enhanced through movement.

The excavation in Dalköpinge teaches us more about the prehistory of Trelleborg.

A major excavation is currently taking place in Dalköpinge. People have inhabited this location since the Neolithic era. Archaeologists have already made many exciting discoveries, some of which will be displayed in an exhibit at the Trelleborg Museum's foyer during the excavation.
